St Edward Epiphany campus this summer.
STEAM provides unique opportunities for students to experience science while encouraging them
to learn how the universe works and to be creative, while developing innovative solutions.
Summer programs are week-long, full day experiences, centered around a specific theme.

Forensic Detectives | Follow the evidence. Solve problems using forensic science to determine "Who done it?". Get an insider's view into the life of a forensics scientist. Learn techniques such as fingerprinting and fiber analysis. Break out of the escape room and solve the crime. |
Gadgets and Gizmos | Uncover the basics of simple machines and how to build them. Experiment with radar guns, race solar cars, and compete in a Rube Goldberg challenge while discovering a variety of phenomena involved with speed, friction, gravity, electricity, magnetism and energy. |
Intro to STEAM | Not sure what interests you. Join us as we experiment our way through the various STEAM disciplines. Course incorporates activities from Art Lab, Mad Science Chemistry, Gadgets and Gizmos, and Flight Technology. |
Robo Rookies | Journey into robotics with Robo Rookies! Perfect for beginners. Learn the basics of building and programming robots in a fun and supportive environment. Through creative challenges and teamwork, explore the world of coding, and watch their creations come to life. It’s the perfect first step into the future of technology and innovation! |
Robotics Lab | Get a peek into this rapidly growing career field. From low tech to high tech design, build and learn about the evolution and development of robotics. Develop skills and problems and solve your way through a variety of challenges designed to spark curiosity and inspire creative thinking. Each workshop features a different area of robotics, leveraging Ozobots, Cublets, littlebits, Bloxels, Vex Clawbots, and more. |
STEAM Survivor | Don't just survive, thrive, when faced with a variety of threats like Zombies, natural disasters, and threats to mankind. Your ingenuity is the key to the future! Build new skills and compete in STEAM challenges to help you survive. From high tech to low tech, challenges include develop safety devices to ward off danger, programming a robot for life-saving rescues, build working models, learning to make a fire, and many others! |
Spy School | Dream of being a spy? Uncover secrets, crack codes, and master the art of stealth! Through fun, hands-on missions, kids develop critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while learning about science and technology. Use invisible ink to solving thrilling puzzles and practice being detectives. |
Sustainable City Design | Combine sustainable design - from passive architecture to environmentally sustainable material sourcing to develop innovative solutions that are as ecologically balanced as they provide for the comfort and health of occupants. Leverage renewable energy, architecture design and creative engineering to develop solutions to the challenges of now and the future! |
Richmond 2025 Summer Cancellation Policy
The STEAM Discovery Academy Cancellation Policy is strictly enforced and consistently followed in fairness to all participants. The team is unable to accommodate requests for exemptions.
The Summer Cancellation Policy applies to all cancellations including those due to illness, quarantine, or travel delay. Students deemed contagious by a physician will be offered an alternate date option, as available.

Registrations are a commitment to the program. Tuition is not prorated, missed workshops and days are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The application deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refunds will not exceed the amount of money paid to STEAM for the specific registration.

Percentages are calculated based on total tuition due, excluding non-refundable deposit(s), and percentage due.

50% of money paid will be refunded, minus the enrollment deposit, bank and processing fees, and 25% of money paid, minus the application fee, will be credited towards a future program. Credit must be used by 12/31/2026.

May 1, 2025 to 21 Days Before STEAM Week at the Location: 25% credit of monies paid, minus the application fee, will be credited towards a future program. Credit must be used by 12/31/2026.

No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 21 days before the first program start date.
TRANSFERRING PROGRAMS:
STEAM will accommodate one (1) course (week/program) change per student based on course availability until April 1st, 2025. Changes initiated by families will be assessed a $50 change fee.
